April – June 2014 Quarterly Income Report

Income ReportI just can’t believe I’m going to do this report, haha. But as I promised you, whatever I will learn on my “make money online exploration”, I will share it to you. So I have to do this. Making this report is one way also to keep track my progress and pushed me to improve for the next quarter. This will be my first ever quarterly report.

Oh yeah, 3 months na tayo! So, let’s go! On profit ba tayo or deficit? Wala nang pa ligioy ligoy pa, deficit tayo financially. But on the learning aspects, super profit tayo! Sobrang dami ang na learn natin in just a matter of 3 months pa lamang sa process on how to make money online.

Here’s the breakdown:

2,600 PHP ($65)

Bluehost – $65 (40 PHP) = 2,600 PHP

I got this single affiliate commission last May 15, 2014 when a friend (a graphic design artist) wanted to create his website using my recommended website hosting service Bluehost. Looking forward to go hand in hand with him para ma umpisahan na sa pag gawa ang website nya. But it seems sobrang busy ka pa ngayon Peter, haha. And by the way, di ko pa na cash out ang commission ko, kasi need ang minimum commission of $100, hopefully next report ko, ma cash out ko na, haha.

12,611.85 PHP ($280)

GoDaddy (theetway.com  / magnetizerealty.com) – 1,212.50 PHP (good for one year)
Bluehost – 3,237.80 PHP
GetResponse – 4,558.79 PHP
Facebook Ads – 934.08 PHP
Futuristic Academy – 2,575.60 PHP
Clickbank University – 46.67 PHP
Affilorama – 46.41 PHP

Para saan ang mga expenses na eto?

Most and foremost when you set up a website, you need a domain name and hosting service. For me, GoDaddy and Bluehost are best choices for this. I talked more about Bluehost and GoDaddy on my ebook guide “Pinoy, 7 Steps Guide In Creating Your WordPress Website”.

Master marketers are preaching that building your subscribers list is a must in molding your online gold mine. To make this happen, kailangan natin ng email marketing program na subok na. I’m using GetResponse and starting to build my list gradually. I have more detailed post regarding GetResponse on this link here.

Your website needs traffic (site visitors), there is Free Traffic and there is also Paid Traffic. I experimented one way of Paid Traffic, the Facebook Ad. I ran 2 ads regarding my FREE ebook with 2 different Opt-In pages (this is the method most marketers are using in collecting email for subscribers). Here’s the First Page and here’s the Second Page. The second page produced more subscribers. Priceless learning!

I love this Futuristic Academy! Pag beginner ka sa online business, this academy will go very deep on your inner most kung bakit ka nag business online. The academy will let you discover your strength and values that will make you thrive online for last! The combined 20 years experienced of the 3 founders (Jonathan Budd, Norbert Orlewicz and Diana Alcheva) in internet marketing is a mega ton treasure of knowledge worth learning. They will teach you first to make your online business sync with your inner core values, from there, the academy will speed you up and sharpen you to become a well equipped with the right mind set and values online entrepreneur. They will call you The Millennial. I stop for a while kasi wala na akong budget but soon balik ako sa academy na eto. Check out this video “Why Do Most Struggle to Create a Thriving Business Online”.

Affiliate marketing is one sure way to make money online. That’s why I enrolled to lesson trials on two popular learning platforms: the Clickbank University and Affilorama. But I found Affilorama the best learning platform if you want to excel in affiliate marketing. There are so much valuable video tutorials and tools right now inside Affilorama which instantly you can apply in doing affiliate marketing things. In one of Affilorama’s webinar, it struck me with AHA moment when founder Mark Ling presented its one year email autoresponder  (a predetermined time email messages for subscribers) series! That was super awesome! You can watch now Affilorama’s 100+ Free Lessons!

So here’s the mathematical equation:

NET INCOME = Gross Income – Expenses = 2,600 – 12,611.85 = (negative) 10,011.85 PHP

Deficit tayo financially, haha.

BUT, in my opinion super PROFIT tayo sa learning and knowledge na na accumulate natin in this quarter. We will use these knowledge gems para maka bawi sa mga susunod na quarters.

And here’s what we can consider as our accomplishments for this quarter. Some may find these amusing, but I called it small successes and if you’re a beginner like me, this is a valuable post for you:

Number of Blog Posts = 10

Published a FREE ebook guide: “Pinoy, 7 Steps Guide In Creating Your WordPress Website”

Number of Subscribers:
April – June = 38 (free – 31, paid – 7)

FB Page Likes – 86 (as of June 30)

Website Traffic report:
186 users
840 pageviews

And check this video, how the appearance of this blog changed for the last 3 months.

Now, what plans came up? Here are the things to do for the next quarter:

  1. We need to improve the number of subscribers and number of traffic to our website.
  1. Acquire 5 clients (both paid and free-using my ebook guide) on website creation services.
  1. Launch the real estate website (Magnetize Realty). Malaking tulong ang real estate selling ko, ang commission ko sa real estate ang ginamit ko para ma launch ang The ETWAY blog site. Since I earned from it, it is logical enough na gawan ko ng website ang real estate selling business ko and expand it online.
  1. Let’s test Affiliate Marketing. I’m looking right now on 1- 2 products to promote. Soon I will share it to you.
  1. Start lay-outing our Paid Membership Site for beginners. There will be a lot of values I’m going to put in, dedicated for beginners like us in the “make money online” things. Our goal is to launch it before 2014 ends.

That’s it! It’s quite an enjoyable ride kahit deficit tayo financially, haha. Let’s do it better on the next quarter. Any thoughts online explorers?

BABALA: this blog post ay merong mga affiliate links na maaari akong kumita, haha. Maraming salamat.

Some of the cost can be spread out over a year so you can allocate it monthly. It’s nice monitoring your earnings and expenses online.

It’s hard to make money online, luckily for you you made some sort of profit while most wait for months or even years to cash out on ads haha

    • Erwin Ti-in July 28, 2014 at 7:21 am

      haha, thanks bro.

  12. Karen of MrsLookingGood July 28, 2014 at 5:13 am

I’m so proud of you for already earning that much. Negative this month because you paid upfront for some yearly expenses, eventually you’ll be in the black like Pat Flynn. Not only am I proud but I admire you for being transparent and sharing your knowledge. That’s how I think you will be a true success. You’re not afraid to help and others learn from you.

I haven’t started monetizing my site. Eventually that’s the plan, offer e-books, trainings, etc but motherhood and family get in the way (excuses, exmushes!). I’ve written down my goals but still have to start inch by inch executing them.

    KEEP IT UP!!!

    • Erwin Ti-in July 28, 2014 at 7:25 am

you heat me up more and catch me “Pat Flynn”, haha.
thank you for inspiring me more Karen. 🙂

I know it was not easy to set up and even maintain a blog specially if ypur aim is yp earn from ot. When I first started bloggong it was not on mind, however, with the marketing needs of companies for onternet nd media exposure, I too have benefited.

    • Erwin Ti-in July 28, 2014 at 9:40 am

      well said, thank you Joy.

  14. Jaja July 28, 2014 at 11:14 am

I want to switch to wordpress kasi mas madaming options like plugins and stuff. Tska mas professional tignan in my opinion. Kaso im not sure if I can maintain it kasi mas mahal ang hosting, eh sa blogger $10 a year lang pra sa pag maintain ng domain mo. May monthly installment payments ba yung blue host? Kasi parang nakita ko na nakasale ata sila ang bigat lang kasi kung kukuha ka 3 years diba

    • Erwin Ti-in July 28, 2014 at 12:07 pm

Last July 4 bluehost was on sale, now back on regular price. Instead of 3 years, take the 1 year plan Jaja like what I did. It’s only less than 4k pesos for one year. Thanks for the visit Jaja.

  15. Daphne Benosa July 28, 2014 at 11:06 pm

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve been reading a US food blogger’s monthly income report for a while now, but syempre it’s different when it’s presented by someone from here in the Philippines. Makes it feel more realistic and easier to relate to.

    • Erwin Ti-in July 29, 2014 at 3:04 pm

feel good to delight you Patty, haha. 🙂

  19. Levyousa July 31, 2014 at 8:53 pm

Grabe! I think i just learned a lot from this post.
ROI palang ako sa blog ko, I dont promote much as i am busy with my office work.
Think it needs a lot more dedication from me.
